We’re excited to invite you to Maastricht Interview for Hearing Voices: A Social and Biographical Approach, from a Lived Experience Perspective, an interactive, four-session workshop designed for mental health professionals and peer supporters who work with individuals experiencing voice hearing.

There are only 24 spaces available for this highly experiential workshop, so act quickly to secure space for yourself and/or your team.

About the Workshop:
This training introduces the Maastricht Approach, which offers a radical alternative to traditional psychiatric models. Rather than viewing voices as symptoms to suppress, this approach sees voices as meaningful responses to life experiences and overwhelming emotions. Through the Maastricht Hearing Voices Interview, you will learn to explore the relationship between voices and a person’s history, triggers, coping strategies, and social context — supporting relief and recovery.

You will gain:

  • Understanding of the historical, cultural, and epidemiological contexts of voice hearing
  • Competence in conducting the structured Maastricht Hearing Voices Interview
  • Hands-on practice interviewing voice hearers who have experienced the Maastricht process
  • Insight into core principles that foster trust, collaboration, and healing
