ISPS-US Sixteenth Annual Meeting:
Psychosis in Context: Exploring Intersections in Diverse Identities and Extreme States

Submission Guidelines

PAPERS are 60 minutes long, including 15-20 minutes for discussion.
PANELS can include two or three papers, with a chair, and with or without a discussant.? Panels can be 60 or 90 minutes long, including 15-20 minutes for discussion.
ALTERNATIVE FORMATS, such as conversation hours and book talks, are 60 minutes long.

ALL PROPOSALS MUST INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Title of presentation (maximum of 15 words)
  • Type of presentation (paper, panel, or alternative) and length (60 or 90 minutes)
  • Abstract (maximum of 300 words)
  • The following for each presenter (only those who will actually be present, not absent coauthors):
    • Name, address, phone, e-mail, institutional affiliation(s)
    • Brief biographical statement (maximum of 30 words)
    • CV or resume (maximum of 3 pages, simple format - must be copied and pasted into website form)
    • Every presenter must sign the online conflict of interest disclosure.
  • Designated contact person if more than one presenter
  • Audio/visual requirements (we do our best to accommodate but cannot guarantee all equipment)
  • Any of the following statements:
    • I DO give permission for my presentation to be videoed and sold by ISPS-US (smaller audience).
    • I DO give permission for my presentation to be videoed and posted for free on YouTube by ISPS-US.
    • I DO NOT give permission for my presentation to be videoed or distributed by ISPS-US.
  • Expected experience level of target audience:
    • INTRODUCTORY:? No prior knowledge of specific content required.
    • INTERMEDIATE:? Some prior knowledge, but no in-depth knowledge, required.
    • ADVANCED:? Significant knowledge of the specific topic required.
  • Three learning objectives, including measurable goals, stating what the participant will be able to do to demonstrate learning - See examples here.
  • Three or more bibliographic references that support the validity of the presentation content, that are within the last 5 years.

DEADLINE: Proposals must be submitted at www.isps-us.org by May 29, 2017.

Incomplete/late proposals will not be accepted. Proposals will not be accepted by mail or email. Questions about the submission process should be emailed to Karen Stern at contact@isps-us.org. NOTE: ALL PRESENTERS MUST REGISTER AND PAY to attend the meeting. ACCEPTED PRESENTERS MUST SUBMIT ADDITIONAL PAPERWORK in a timely manner. THE CONTACT PERSON IS RESPONSIBLE for keeping ISPS-US informed of any changes in contact information or if any presenters are unable to attend.
